Please do send any photos of plants or animals from Greenstreete that you have to landmatters@samatha.org

iNaturalist
You can see records of many of the species found at Greenstreete and its environs on iNaturalist here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=any&subview=map&user_id=samatha_wildlife&verifiable=any&view=species and we would love to have more records…
“There are some four million different kinds of animals and plants in the world. Four million different solutions to the problems of staying alive.”
David Attenborough
Anyone can record a plant or animal they have seen at Greenstreete. In doing so, you will be adding to the body of knowledge of the land and species that live there.
To make a record, please email “What, Where and When” you saw to landmatters@samatha.org and we will record the sighting on iNaturalist for you.
It does not need to be something rare – all records are useful. Anything you have noticed will be gratefully received.
“What” = which species you saw.
“Where” = where in Greenstreete it was. Any description will do, but if you want to be more exact, that can be helpful. In which case, if you can provide a 10 figure grid reference that would be ideal: to do this, go to gridreferencefinder.com and right-click on the exact spot to receive the reference, which will begin with ‘SO’ followed by 10 numbers.
“When” = the date.
If possible, but not necessary, a photo as well would be much appreciated, of any quality, or even a sound recording!
